Welcome to the UM-HOC!

What is the UM-HOC?

We are a collaborative laboratory with the goal of enabling the University of Michigan research community to implement a diverse range of Patient Derived Organoids for discovery-based research, personalized and regenerative medicine. We also welcome external institutional collaboration and commercial partnership in furtherance of our research aims.

What we do.

  • Provide expertise, guidance and training to enable your research involving human organoid systems.

  • Provide consulting services to aid in experimental planning

  • Implement the latest strategies, and develop new methods, to culture and establish organoids from primary human tissue.

  • Develop a repository of in vitro grown primary human tissues that are accessible to the research community.

  • Provide access to detailed protocols.

  • Provide access to well characterized cell/tissue lines.

  • Provide access to specialized, quality controlled and batch-tested reagents.

  • Provide help obtaining preliminary data and letters of support for grant submissions
